Today I'm sharing with you the pattern of my little amigurumi cloud. It will be perfect for bedroom decor or baby mobile etc... Video tutorial coming soon!
You will need:
A 3 mm crochet hook
100% white cotton yarn Ricorumi DK, 25g/57,5m or any cotton yarn made for amigurumis
polyester fiberfill for stuffing
a sewing needle and stitch markers
Stitch Abbreviations
ch: chain
sl st: slip stitch
sc: single crochet
inc: increase
dec: decrease
f/o: fasten off
R: round
Pattern:
(note: fill the cloud with the polyester fiber little by little as you go)
Start with a magic circle
R1: 6 sc in the circle (6)
R2: (inc in each stitch) x6 (12)
R3: (1 sc, inc) x6 (18)
R4: (2 sc, inc) x6 (24)
R5 to R8: 24 sc (= total of 4 rounds)
R9: 4 sc, 6 inc, 14 sc (30)
R10: 30 sc (30)
R11: 10 sc, 4 inc, 16 sc (34)
R12 to R19: 34 sc (= total of 8 rounds)
R20: 12 sc, 4 dec, 14 sc (30)
R21: 30 sc (30)
R22: 8 sc, 6 dec, 10 sc (24)
R23: 9 sc, 2 dec, 11 sc (22)
R24: 7 sc, 6 inc, 9 sc (28)
R25 to R31: 28 sc (= total of 7 rounds)
R32: 9 sc, 6 dec, 7 sc (22)
R33: 7 sc, 4 dec, 7 sc (18)
R34 to R35: 18 sc (= total of 2 rounds)
R36: (1sc, dec) x6 (12)
R37: 6 dec (6)
Close hole with the sewing needle, f/o and weave in ends, then you're finally done!

is there an easy way or formula i could use to extend this pattern so the cloud is much larger? like, many more stitches...
ReplyDeletemaybe multiply everything by like 2 or something? that way the ratios stay the same so the pattern will still work

If you want to make it bigger, use a thinner yarn and a bigger crochet, that must do.
